About this Venue
The Lord Palmerston is located in Southsea on Palmerston Road. The building used to be Chicago Rock Cafe, and prior to that Route 66. Nearly £1 million has been spent renovating it and let me assure you, every penny of it shows. This is perhaps the most lavish Wetherspoons

Really quite (at least when I was in), but as a foreigner,they treated me with kindness, and the very cool bartender wouldn’t even take my tips!! Pity I couldn’t try the food though as they don’t serve on Mondays

I spilt my drink all over my self because I’m so bloody clumsy and this really nice guy who works here went off and got me another one for free. Really kind staff. Food was great too �
